How we review a contractor website

We have not published an independently verifiable market-wide study here. Instead, see the questions and field definitions we use when assessing a site, without unsupported headline percentages.

Five practical checks

Observe first. Recommend second.

Mobile contact

Can someone with an urgent problem find the number and service area right away?

Speed

Is the first screen usable on a slow mobile connection?

Trust

Are licensing, reviews and service evidence shown only where verifiable?

Service pages

Are emergency repairs and planned quotes easy to distinguish?

Tracking

Are calls and forms attributed to sources, and is the result verified by dispatch?

Limitations

Record unknowns and the exact date and method before claiming a finding.

See a sample before you share anything

Our sample is an imaginary example, clearly labeled. Real findings are gathered only after we check the business itself.
